Volunteering doesn’t benefit only society, develops communities and provides necessary services, it has also a great impact on personal development of volunteers themselves. Volunteering helps building skills and empower people of all ages, but especially the youth, to be active part of their society, provides them with new opportunities and knowledge and enhances their chances to find employment.

Don’t wait until you finish school

Kimlay Leav is 23 years old, speaks perfect English, majors in Economics and International Relations, is an appointed member of the UN Youth Advisory Panel, volunteers his free time in Khmer youth NGO, has always a big smile on his face and is determined to work and contribute to his society. “Youth shouldn’t wait until they graduate from school in order to become active,” Kimlay says.
